Prior to your vasectomy procedure, there are a few precautions you will need to be aware of to get yourself prepared for the procedure.
For 7 days before your Vasectomy Procedure:
Do not take Aspirin or any other product containing ASA; NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen or Anticoagulants such as Warfarin.
For 2 days before your Vasectomy Procedure:
Avoid the intake of alcohol.
1 day before your Vasectomy Procedure:
You will need to shave the scrotum area to make it free of hair from the base of the penis down the front and sides of the scrotum. This is required for the actual vasectomy procedure.
Day of your Vasectomy Procedure:
On the day of your procedure, remember to have a good hearty breakfast and have a lot to drink like water or juice. Before attending the clinic, you will need to wear the scrotal support over your underwear to the clinic. And just before leaving your house, you will also need to take 2 tablets of extra-strength Tylenol.
There is not a lot that is required of you before your vasectomy. There are certain things you need to avoid and on the day of just remember to arrive to the clinic relaxed and at ease.
