How Safe is Vasectomy?

Vasectomy is one of the most safest permanent birth control options for men. Most medical experts, including special panels convened by the National Institutes of Health and by the World Health Organization, have concluded that vasectomy is a safe and simple procedure. Vasectomy prevents men from releasing sperm during ejaculation. The vasectomy procedure is done where the vas deferens from each testicle is clamped, sealed or cut. As a result, the sperm will be prevented from mixing with semen during ejaculation.
